LOG: My documentary

I have decided to create a 5 minute extract from an expository documentary, as having seen several historical documentaries, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best form for my documentary to take. This is because my documentary will be made to inform the viewer of the historical buildings and locations in the local area, and to emphasise their importance in our culture. By using expository, I will also be able to use a technique used in historical documentaries which is to have a voiceover narrate over a still image from the past. This has the effect of educating the audience by showing them an actual image from the past while explaining it or describing it in the voiceover. This technique has been very successful in other documentaries, such as the one shown in a previous post on this blog.
